Discovery Calls: What They Are & Why They Matter

A discovery call is a short conversation we have before your first Reiki session. It's a chance for us to connect, and for you to share more about what you're navigating in your life and what you hope to receive through healing.

What Happens During a Discovery Call? 

During our call, I invite you to share your concerns and healing goals. You're also welcome to ask any questions you may have about Reiki, my approach, or how the process might support what you're working through.

This time together also helps us both sense whether we're the right energetic match to work together — something that can be important when entering into energy work with openness and trust. 

You deserve to work with someone you feel safe and aligned with, especially when inviting them into your energy in such a vulnerable, sacred way.

Why Discovery Calls are Helpful

Although not required—particularly if you already have a clear intention and feel familiar with how Reiki works—discovery calls can still offer valuable insight and depth to the overall healing experience.

Because Reiki energy works on intention, your conscious intention helps guide how the energy supports you. It also helps bring your mind, body, and spirit into a more open and receptive state for healing.

Sometimes, clients aren't quite sure what they want their intention to be or how to articulate what they're feeling or needing. In those moments, we gently explore together. I may use intuitive insight to help bring your experience into clearer focus.

This isn't about me telling you how you feel, but rather offering reflections that may open your awareness. When that happens, it can bring clarity and support deeper healing, both during and beyond our session.

A Safe Space to Be Understood

Some clients come in with experiences that are hard to put into words. Others may feel hesitant to share certain aspects of what they're going through out of fear of being misunderstood. Please know that you will be met with understanding, not judgment.

The energetic world, our deeply engrained belief systems, or the energy we have unconsciously allowed in can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming — and that's okay.

It's also completely okay if you prefer not to share or explore intuitive guidance, whether during a discovery call or in the session itself. Some clients come simply for the Reiki experience itself, without conversation or energetic interpretation.

I understand this. I honor this. Your comfort and boundaries are always respected.
